Malachai is a wonderful example of the breed, noble in spirit and gentle in temperment.  He exudes himself protecting his family while never meeting a stranger and forever wanting to give the neighbor kids a good slobbering. He can be fierce as Cujo behind his fence but when you open the gate he turns into mush.   He is the most sensitive dog I know, lowering his head with the slightest raise of voice.  From our eyes its as if Malachai presumes his world is going to end.  Due to his sensitivity to things around him, we have fallen for his attitude towards life. He is always there ready to please you, constantly nudging you to be petted or giving you a big "woof" signaling to you to get him his jolly ball.  Malachai is a trooper when it comes to the family's kids pulling his ears, twisting his tail, sticking their hands in his mouth.   He tolerates it all and never fails to give them a lick on the cheek when they least expect it.  Malachai will always be the first and foremost love of our loves, he has brought us much joy in his 7 years and we hope that he will give us yet another 7 years.
